Crossgates Bowling Club ladies enter bowlers in the West Fife Bowling Association and Bowls Scotland competitions.  For full details of their competitions, please visit their websites:

Internal Knockout Club Competitions

Competitions sheets for the knockouts are pinned to the club's main noticeboard.

Please append your name to the sheets as early as possible to allow the draws to be made.

Ties should be played timeously by the dates indicated on the competitions sheet.

Ladies can enter the following internal knockout competitons:

The team comprises a triples picked from a pool of players.

Crossgates ladies may enter bowlers into the West Fife county competitions.  

They include:

  • Top 5
  • Jean Mitchell Trophy County Singles
  • Anne Bernard Trophy County Pairs
  • Champion of Champions
  • Mixed Fours (Sports Council)
  • Junior Pairs (Sports Council)

National Championships (Scottish) District 8

Bowls Scotland is divided into 32 districts with each district holding qualifying knockout competitions to determine the winner of that district.  

Following the qualifiers, each of the 32 District champions from each category will compete in the annual National Championship at Northfield, Ayr in July to determine the overall Scottish Champions.  

Crossgates is in District 8 which has a total of 34 member clubs covering the South Fife area from Thornton in the east to Valleyfield in the west, from Leslie in the north to Inverkeithing in the south. 

The categories are as follows, with separate ladies and gents competitions (apart from mixed pairs):

  • Group A – Singles, Pairs, Triples & Fours
  • Group B – Over 55 Singles & Over 55 Fours
  • Group C - Mixed Pairs
  • Group D – Under 25 Singles

The District 8 Ladies 2026 finals are being played at Thornton Bowling Club on Monday 22nd June at 6.30pm (Senior Singles, Senior Fours & Mixed Pairs) and on Tuesday 23rd June at 6.30pm (Singles, Pairs, Triples & Fours).
